THE BEGINNING
In the fall of 1973, SBEC opened its doors. Ten Baptist churches desired a different kind of school for their children where prayer was an essential component and Biblical principles were implemented as part of the curriculum.
ACADEMICS
Since 1995, SBEC has produced eighteen National Merit Finalists. The Class of 2010 included three and the Class of 2011 included four.
The ACT Mean for the Class of 2011 completing core curriculum was 25.197.
ACT Top Quartile Mean is 30.59.
100% of SBEC graduates are accepted to college upon graduation.
HONORS COURSES
Honors courses are regularly offered to qualified students in English, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, American History, American Government, Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, and Physics.
AP COURSES
AP courses are offered in English Language, English Literature, and Calculus AB.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
SBEC offers a variety of opportunities for students to be involved in activities. These include theatre, music, speech, publications, government, as well as numerous clubs.
