SBEC is in the process of building its endowment, with an eye toward the future.
The endowment program is a long-term investment strategy, designed to build up a large corpus of funds.
The resulting income will help finance programs that are currently supported solely by the Annual Fund.
SBEC is in the early stages of developing a comprehensive
Program.
The program is designed to educate prospective donors about SBEC and its mission in order to elicit donor interest in remembering SBEC through their wills and estate plans.
With the donor's assent, such gifts will be used to strengthen our endowment program or for other designated purposes.
We have established The Next Generation Fund, an endowment fund, for the purpose of keeping tuition rates affordable, providing equitable compensation to faculty members, and insuring that distinctive Christian education will be available for future generations. This endowment fund is a separate entity from SBEC operating funds. The funds are deposited in a separate account managed by an independent board of directors to insure funds will be used as directed and not for general operating expenses.
The scriptural basis of SBEC's mission and philosophy serves as the inspiration for this fund:
"...He commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands." Psalm 78: 5-7 NIV
Your gift for SBEC's future would be appreciated and used wisely. If you are interested in receiving additional information about how you can help SBEC plan for tomorrow through building its endowment, or if you have suggestions, please contact our Development Office.
