Each year our drama department presents a major production such as Oklahoma, The King and I, Annie, The Sound of Music, Cinderella, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Wizard of Oz. Shows involving elementary students as primary characters are also staged in the fall, including Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr., and Dear Edwina, Jr.

Our drama performances, music programs and chapels are held in our Performing Arts Center (PAC). Recently the PAC was enhanced with an expanded stage, new curtains, and a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system.

SBEC Drama Department Wins Awards

The Desoto Arts Council recently formed the Northwest Mississippi Theater Alliance. Each year the Alliance recognizes and awards students and performances presented by area high schools and community theaters. The SBEC Drama Department has won a number of these awards.
