Who is the vendor SBEC has selected? After extensive research SBEC has chosen Larose School Uniforms as our school vendor. Larose has been in business for over 28 years and serves approximately 175 schools. They have stores located in Memphis, Nashville and Birmingham. The Larose store in Memphis is open during the week and on many Saturdays during the year. As part of our research we talked extensively with three schools that are currently being served through Larose; Briarcrest in Memphis, TN, Heritage Academy in Columbus , MS, and Trinity Christian in Jackson, TN. These schools are similar to SBEC. All three schools provided positive reports in regards to their experience. You can visit the web site of Larose Uniforms for general information such as store location and hours. www.laroseuniforms.com

Why are all of the clothes purchased through one vendor? As we have visited with several other schools, the one comment that has been emphasized is that the school should utilize a single vendor. This is done for the purpose of continuity and consistency. When different vendors are used you begin to realize different shades of material, different lengths, etc. Obviously, this would deter from the purpose of implementing a standardized dress.

Are the clothes on display all of the choices? No. These are samples of combinations that can be worn with the selected items. There are selected tops, pants, shirts, skirts, etc. that once combined can give various looks. This is so people can dress to their style preference within the choices made available.

How and when do we place orders? Soon you will be receiving information regarding details of the ordering process. The initial opportunity will be provided in April. Larose will bring their staff to SBEC for at least five or six evenings for fittings. The dates will be announced in the next few weeks. Initial orders placed during the fitting at school will receive a 10% discount and free shipping.

How can orders be placed that far in advance for the upcoming school year? Larose has been in this business for 28 years. They are confident in their procedures. In case an occasional incorrect sizing does occur, they offer a very generous return policy.

When will we receive the price list? We have a preliminary price list available for you now. As stated earlier one of the main priorities for the committee was affordability. The prices will be very comparable to local department stores and the clothes are good quality. In addition, periodic discounts are offered. In our conversation with the schools mentioned, each has told us that their families are not realizing extra expense for clothing.

Preliminary Price Lists require Adobe PDF Reader which you can download here   Adobe PDF Reader
