WELCOME TO THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR!

We are excited to begin the 40th year of SBEC. Several special events are planned to celebrate this exciting point in the history of SBEC. The Lord continues to bless this ministry and we are thankful that your family is a part.

August 9th begins the school year with a half-day schedule. Classes begin for students entering Sr. Kindergarten through 12th grades at 8:15 am and will dismiss at 11:45 am for elementary students and 11:50 am for high school students. There is no childcare for the Sr. Kindergarten students.

Our Pre-Kindergarten children will enjoy a “Meet the Teacher Morning.” Come see the classroom and meet the teacher anytime from 9:00 am – 11:30 am. There is no childcare available for Pre-Kindergarten students.

The Junior Kindergarten students will attend classes as follows:
AM students 8:15 am - 9:15 am
PM students 10:00 am – 11:00 am
There is no childcare available for Jr. Kindergarten students.

The first full day of school is Friday, August 10. The school hours are 8:15 am – 3:15 pm (3:20 pm for students in grades 7-12). Extended child care will be available for all students.

SBEC strives to keep our families informed about school activities. To help facilitate our communication with you, we produce a weekly newsletter entitled “In Touch with our Parents”, which is available on our website at www.sbectrojans.com. Place your cursor on NEWS & UPDATES on the top navigation bar of the school’s home page and click on IN TOUCH in the drop-down box. Also, we have an email program that is used to send the IN TOUCH automatically to your email address. We have included all your email addresses in our list and you will receive IN TOUCH each Wednesday. If you wish to opt out, simply go to the bottom of the form and choose that option.

Finally, we send “Email Blasts” about important events and items we feel you need to know. This would also include school closings for weather.
